From the President
Ocala Runner’s Club is a local runner’s group located in Marion County, Florida.
Our main purpose is to promote a healthy lifestyle through running.
Our club in accordance with its by-laws, is governed by a 12 member board. The directors are elected for a two-year term. The club meets on a quarterly basis throughout the year at the YMCA at 6:30PM. A guest speaker starts the meeting off. We currently have 60 members and encourage them to attend the meetings.
Our club has been in existence for over 30 years. We are proud to sponsor five major races throughout the year. These include the newest, “People Chase Run” at the Florida Horse Park, plus the traditional: “Four Miles on the Fourth”, Autumn Run for Autism”, “Turkey Trot”, and the “Reindeer Run”.
We have many dedicated people that give of their time and talent to the Ocala Runner’s Club. You may call on them at anytime regarding information pertaining to races and social events.
